So I've been following this blog by a guy out of Washington DC. It has recently become very popular, so some of you may follow the blog as well. Citizen Renegade is the blog. He writes about about a lot of things, but principally about the dichotomy between the alpha (superior) and beta (sub-standard) males. Alphas are the ones who can attract the most ladies while the betas can only take what they can get. Think of it what you may, it is still a very entertaining read. So, he also has a test to see where men stack up so far as searching for mates are concerned. An interesting test I might add.

To be honest, I scored a 14 so I've got some work to do. Try it out and let me know what you think. Comments and criticisms are welcome.

Dude is too lazy/unintelligent to set up a proper quiz and falls back on a pen and paper point system. -10 points on his market value.

Also, this "be cocky but funny" stuff and treating women like they're basically retards isn't all that groundbreaking. They've been talking about this for years.

I would certainly agree that the tests are rudimentary and should be taken with a grain of salt, just like any �market test� as it were. So I don�t know that it is a �proper� quiz. Also, where do you find a proper quiz? Cosmo? I think not.

I digress, there are some particular questions that I would take issue with. For example, I don�t know if a man can be too intelligent to the point where it actually starts to become a turn off for women, although that is only a specific nit-pick. The test, generally, seems to be a measure of your confidence, self esteem and self-control more than anything else. There are indeed some questions where people may feel uncomfortable. Questions related to status and hierarchy, for whatever reason, make some people uneasy. Yet women are always dangling 2 -5 men at any one time and they are sizing each man up as to who they want to spend more time with and others they want just get rid of, a hierarchy exists in other words. Men pick, women choose is just the way of the World.

The �be cocky but funny� shtick has been around for years; of course it has been around for years. Guess what? Women love to laugh and they have loved to laugh since time immemorial. If you can�t make a woman laugh, she�ll get bored and when she gets bored, she bolts. As for �treating women like they�re basically retards,� I would challenge you to read some of the comments on each of the threads and see for yourself what the women are saying. Many women find this blog just as entertaining as men do. You might be surprised.

I got a 19. That test is very general, I think it's more for entertainment value, as well as a way for Roissy to get his points across.

I read Roissy's blog and he's over the top, but he has many good points. One thing about him though, is that the rare pictures he posts of himself with a woman always show mediocre looking women. A person would only post pictures of their better looking girls, so if that's the best that Roissy's doing, he needs to start following his own advice.

Besides that, he does know what's talking about. A lot of what he writes is for shock value, so a person who's not exposed to that way of thinking will have an automatic negative reaction to what he's saying. A lot of it is hard to stomach for the average person.

Also, that G Manifesto clown who always posts in his comments section pisses me off. You know that moron who likes to pretend that he's some kind of international gangster? He says things like "I roll with my 3 piece suit when I'm swooping fly girls" and things along that line. I think he just sits around and reads travel guides and fashion magazines and watches gangster movies, then lets his imagination do the rest.

4, but this was one of the stupidest things I've seen. I get the feeling that the girls this is supposed to attract are not the girls I'm interested in attracting. Honestly, how is getting arrested going to bring the classy girls running? High intelligence makes you beta?

These pickup guys crack me up. I was at the bar with the girl I work with two weeks ago and one of them came up to her and started showing her magic tricks and doing that whole cocky funny thing. I was laughing the entire time and she was so uncomfertable. I mean if it can get these guys to actually talk to girls than I guess thats a good thing, and if they talk to enough some one will fall for it.
