For EPIk Spring 2011.
I know patience is a virtue. But this is getting suspenseful. And aggravating. |

Despite much dreaming hoping and waiting and often straight out lies being given often on the time frame being issued to applicants.
Applicants like yourself waiting to get airtickets and feel confident on the situation, the EPIK contracts and NOAs have always only come out on approx the weeks 15- 22 Jan every year since 2006.
This is because all the provincial offices of education (POEs) heirachy and the cities using EPIK have their meetings in mid January to make the final decisions on who is going where at this time.
The main EPIK hiring office in Seoul who hired you and organized your application paperwork simply cant make the papers go any faster than the Koreans in the POEs who are probably presently passing your application forms and photos around a table having a 'picking' game. |

I just heard from my recruiter with the confirmation. They are saying that the contracts are on their way to Seoul from the provincial offices and then they will sent them out in the next couple of weeks |

Yes, this is holds true for everyone I've met as far as their timing for contracts. For a little personal input, last year my recruiter got my contract from the POE on Jan. 20, then FedExed to me and I got it on Jan. 24. I don't think it matters when in the process you applied (between the Oct. 1 - Dec. 15 timeframe) because my understanding is that the POE writes up all the contracts at once and they are sent out in mass. Then it's up to your recruiter/the mail to get the contract to you quickly. |
