I just received an email from my recruiter saying that I have received an offer and the contract is on the way. I got my first choice ***GANGWON***
Has anyone els heard anything about their offer? Where will you be? Was it your first choice?
Is anyone else going to Gangwon? |

Can only hope to end up in Gangwon as well. Haven't heard back yet about an NOA or contract. Maybe next week something will come through. |

Your first choice was the country side? I'm not saying it's bad, but you do know its not anything like Seoul, right? |

To jimmyNeutron
I used Footprints and they have been amazing very professional.
To radius
I am aware that Gangwon isn't Seoul and my decision to have Gangwon as my first choice was a conscious one. I have lived in large cities around the world for many years and at this stage I want to go somewhere as rural as possible. |

The people I know from Gangwon spend the majority of their weekends on buses, getting out of Gangwon. |

If you're like me and don't care about night life, I imagine rural areas are just fine.
I live in Daejeon... it's OK. I don't go out very often, only when I'm dragged out by some Koreans about once a week. I think it's nice to stay home!
The only nice thing about the city is that I have a couple decent restaurants and a couple grocery stores within a 15 minute walk. I never use the bus, and rarely use the subway to get around. I just walk. |

I'm not into nightlife and partying till the early hours of the morning. I'm more of an outdoor type of a person so i think Gangwon will be perfect for me. |

I used Footprints Recruiting as well and they e-mailed me yesterday stating I am confirmed for Seoul (which was my first choice as well).
I'm a bit nervous because the NOA is needed for the visa and the recruiter, Henrik, stated it can take a few weeks. But all we have is a few weeks before we arrive.
I imagine we'd have to arrive in Korea on February 19 at the latest since school would start March 1 and we'd have to be there for orientation.
I've e-mailed Footprints Recruiting regarding my concern and hopefully they respond with a comforting answer.
Can anyone tell me about their experience with EPIK? How long before the beginning of classes/your arrival was it before you received your NOA? |
