The yellow dust really doesn't seem to know when to quit here and officials are saying the storms are getting progressively worse. Storms affect the region five times more frequently than they did about 50 years ago, and a solution to the problem remains to be discovered.

It's basically pollution laden detrious from northern China. It's worse when they have a very dry year. Smile

Question: If the storms reach a hazardous level (1000 micrograms per cubic meter I believe) as they did in Seoul two years ago (2,500), will I have off from school that day?

Okay katdid - I managed to score some yellow dust.

Never again! My nose is stuck at "on", and that's all I'm saying, lest I disgrace myself even further...

Stop causing desertification on the edges of the Gobi desert caused by reckless development, deforestation and farming. Pretty simple if you ask me.

No. You work at a hagwon not a school, however, the amount of kids coming will be down due to concerned parents/.[/quote]

I can't notice it apart from Seoul's normal pollution.

My nose hasn't been clear since I got here.
