Doubt you need it replaced, you need to open that sucker up and clean it, how do you feel about that? Or is it still so new the warranty is important?

If you're in Seoul I'd imagine Dell will have some presence there, if your not in Seoul and don't want to open it up yourself I'd imagine any local PC shop will do it for a few quid.

I've already opened it and shot canned air through it. Usually that used to do the trick, but it's reaching 97C and then the cpu is ramping down when I'm gaming. There is dell xps support here, but I've lost the number!

Then it sounds like the fan itself is failing, perhaps easy for a shop to switch out if its a standard shaped fan?

Or the HSF needs removing and reseating with new thermal paste, entirely doable at home if you're that way inclined? If you've already opened it up sounds like you are game!

Not something stupid like you needing to use a laptop cooler or just making sure some junk on your desk isnt blocking the inlet/exhaust to the chassis first though?

The HSF unit is bespoke, bu tit's ok because I have it under warranty and dell Korea have replaced stuff for me before.

It has Artic Silver in it already, heatsinks are tightly screwed on checked that last night, and the desk is clear. I think it just needs a new HSF.
