A man from a large city was driving near Rexburg, Idaho. He stopped at a potato farm and politely inquired if he could buy 10 pounds of potatoes.
"Well, that might be a bit tricky" the farmer says, "here in Rexburg we don't really like to cut a potato in half." |

YES! This is it. I take it to mean that I'm socially awkward. I remember in that film "Adam" about this guys with aspergers there was a similar scene. I'm not autistic, but at that moment I totally could have been him.

Next time someone asks you what you're doing tonight, just say 'skydiving'. The next time say, 'bungee jumping', then 'cliffdiving', then 'executing a perfect slow motion slam dunk in basketball with beads of sweat dripping off of my perfect body'.
So yeah, excitement is relative... but if you're not feeling fulfilled in life you should probably start asking yourself why that is, and try to fix the problem. Jumping to the conclusion that you have asperger's or you're just hopelessly awkward and doomed or whatever isn't good for anyone... |

OP, your co-worker was merely looking out for your best interest.
Also, you got major Korean adjumma syndrome going on. Go out and find some adjumma friends. A lot of them like hiking or gardening together. Join a gym or do yoga.
But yeah, there's nothing more boring than being a Korean adjumma. Things will pop up when children come into the picture. 
I'm a boring person as well. I spend time in or near my home in order to save money. Plus, it's cold out and I tend more to hibernate in the winter during public school vacation. Come spring I'll travel a bit more and go out of town. |

Yes most Teachers here are boring, they spend most of their time on forums:)
My opinion: The less time most of us stay behind our own doors the better. |

Who cares? Why did he say that? Sounds like he is dealing with somthing personal against you. Did you guys ever hang out together?

| Having fun without doing anything special is a great skill. Personally I like doing everyday things like grocery shopping and exercising more than going to a theme park or going sky diving. I guess that mean I'm a little boring, but as long as I'm happy that way, I don't see any problem with that. |

Sounds like someone needs to move to the Itaewon area. It is so easy to get out of the house when you live here. I'm not very social, but I still get out a few times a week. I rarely have a hard-drinking night, either. Mostly it's a one or two beer night, and some conversation.
Who cares what other people think anyway.

I'd make a crack about men being scum and only interested in one thing, but I totally do the same thing. Being married implies a total lack of availability to be my special friend. It's not so bad with other girls, but guys' wives don't like their men talking to me too much for some reason.

As a fellow boring person, I can sympathize. I remember a while back a friend insisting I come out on a Saturday to some party, and instead of coming up with some flimsy excuse I told the truth: I just got a new book I can't wait to read and I'm staying in to read it. Needless to say, he was flabbergasted, and probably suspected that was a flimsy excuse covering up some other plans.
My problem, OP, and perhaps you feel the same, isn't so much that I'm boring, but that more and more I find others boring. I'm still in my 20s and relatively young, but it just seems with every passing year the people you meet here all have the same insipid experiences and predictable points of view. I'm not saying I'm better, I'm sure I'm just as insipid and predictable as the worst of us, but after a while you just get tired of it, don't you? |
