Not to burst your bubble...but it only costs 1,006,500 here in Korea.
(1,106,500 to purchase outright), some places sell it for less than 750,000. Of course that's locked into a contract and there are variables.
Also, can that one make calls? I remember reading the U.S models wouldn't be able to make calls like their Korean counterparts. |

So you bought one in the US for about $600 and are trying to sell it here for $750ish? Nice.
I have to say this is one of the biggest reasons I'm not buying one here. It's stupidly expensive compared to the US price. |

Did some research and it turns out your right, the US versions are unable to make phone calls. Thanks for letting me know.
Based on this info I'm repricing it at 650,000won. I'm looking to sell it for a fair price.
kprrok- $600 is the price from Sprint without a contract. It costs an extra $100 to have it unlocked allowing you to use it in Korea, or anywhere else for that matter. |

I didn't wanna be that guy, but phones are my business here in Korea. Plus that G Market price was a bit off of the price SK is selling them for.
@kprrok, if you sign up for a 2 year contract you can get a nice discount on a tab and pay way less than the prices I've quoted in this thread. Especially if you find a shop willing to sell at the lower price (approx. 730,000).
However the OP has a fairly decent deal for a wifi only version with no contract, which should be attractive to some people.
OP, good luck on your sale. If you would be willing to ship i can keep an ear out for people around my shop looking for a wifi-only version. |

I want to point out that this will not work on a Korean 3G network without roaming or "certification." You can buy this if you want to use it with wifi networks only. If you want to use it with Korean 3G networks, you're out of luck.
Edited to clarify: I'm not talking only about voice calls (like Drew10), either. You won't be able to use it with 3G data unless you get the IMEI whitelisted by the KCC. |

Which is why i specified "WiFi only"
But basically, you are correct. Since it's unlocked, you would have to have it "locked" to SK to use 3G. |

The article you sourced is dated October 25th. Your same source reported on January 5th that the Samsung Galaxy Tab wi-fi only model should be released in the first quarter of 2011, but no launch date and more importantly no price has been set.
http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/05/wifi-only-samsung-galaxy-tab-confirmed-for-first-quarter-us-laun/
But allow me to entertain your point. Even if someone were to wait for the wi-fi version to be released, have someone purchase it for them in the US, ship it to Korea and it was sold for $499.99, the math would look like this:
$499 msrp + 7% (average US state sales tax) = $533.93
$533.93 converted in Korean won = 598,576 won
Therefore, it will cost someone just under 600,000 won for a wi-fi only model at some unknown point in the future.
I am offering an unlocked 3G model (with wi-fi) right now for only 650,000 won.
nobbyken - I'm not sure if the 3G capabilities of the US version will work in the UK. I'll continue to do some research and see what I can find. Thank you for your interest. |

If there's no sim card slot...then there's no 3G and I stand by my WiFi only statement.
-Edited
You also forgot to mention shipping costs. You're looking at more than 650,000 for a WiFi only model shipped from the U.S, and that's if you don't get dinged with customs fees. |

Yes, it does have 3G. There is no sim card slot because it utilizes CDMA.

You're right, I didn't factor in these additional costs. Thanks for catching that. |

Korea utilizes a WCDMA network, in order for SK to set up 3G on it, they would need to use a sim card. Korea is much different from the states in the way they handle phones. |
