My boss just informed that the health insurance coverage and costs have risen due to a new law.
is it true? It looks like my costs will be 150,000(I make about 3 mil a month) each month! Should I go private insurance? |

I havent heard that the rates have risen for this year. In 2009, the rate was 5.08% (you pay half of that). It rose to 5.33% in 2010. You'll have to call and ask them whether the rates changed for 2011. Their English service line is 02-390-2000.
Even if they have raised the rates again, you can't opt for private insurance. You MUST be enrolled in the national health insurance program. It is a requirement, not an option. Private health insurance can supplement the national plan, but it is NOT a replacement.

Rates have risen and you cannot opt out of the national plan. |

On 3 million per month that would be about 100% of the premium. Isn't your boss paying 1/2 (like he is supposed to?)
Do you have the NHIC booklet to go with your insurance premium?
