So anyone want to recommend their hagwon? I want to switch from my public school job and though I've heard some good things about hagwons the most have been fairly bad. I finish my contract the end of March so I still have some time to look but thought I'd see if anyones leaving and wants to recommend their job Very Happy Very Happy . I don't really care about location I'm in Bucheon right now but I'd be willing to change cities.

Time to start networking or just toss the dice.

I work at a public school and sadly know only other public school teachers well I met one other hagwon teacher and I did talk to her about her school but shes not sure they're hiring. I'm going to start talking to recruiters but hoped someone could actually recommend a good school

People have wildly varied ideas of what constitutes good, what are you looking for?

Good management would be key. Being paid on time, following the contract, enjoyable working environment.

I don't mind working hard, in fact the reason I'm leaving my public school is not because I didn't like my school (cause I really do) but with classes so big and with so many students it's too impersonal for me.

I would like to stay in gyeonggi-do (Bucheon or Ilsan preferably) but wouldn't mind moving outside of Seoul as long as it wasn't complete country. I'm thinkin of lookin in Yeosu cause I heard good things from one of my friends who use to live there.

I originally wanted to teach older kids (middle school or highschool) but I've really come to enjoy my afterschool first grade class and I'm leaning towards Kindergartens instead (you can see their progress so fast...and they are so sweet!)

Anyways I realize I'm going to have to most likely go with a recruiter but if anyones knows of a school I can look into, send me their name. I'm a fairly good teacher (I hope) and almost all my students like me and I'm good at controlling classes (my 6th graders would have driven me insane if I wasn't) so I'd be a good deal ^^.

Holly,
I'll be finishing my contract at the end of April. The school is in Bundang. Its a good place to work, I've been there four years. PM me if you want details.
