Hi,

I've got a ring purchased for around $400 USD I need to sell off (don't ask!) Is there a jeweler I could sell it to that anyone knows of?

Thanks!
Marina

I sold ex-wedding ring off for 80 bucks before I came to Korea to a pawn shop last month.. not sure if those places exist here, though.

'CheonDangPo' is Pawn Shop in Korean, but you won't get anything much at one as far as I know.

What kind of ring is it, where was it purchased, and what is the size?

I'm sure there is a sad story behind that ring. I did something somewhat similar with an engagement ring many moons ago.......

I just help a co-worker sell her ex wedding ring. Head down to Jongro. It is the district for jewelry. They will weigh the gold or what ever metal you have and give you the money for it. You should get more than if you would go to a pawn shop.

Let me know if you need more details.

At the underground entrance of Emart connecting to the subway station in Cheonho-dong there seems to be a desk where people can sell their jewelry. I'm not totally sure if that's really what it is, but it looked like it. You'd probably need someone who speaks Korean to be with you unless your Korean is quite good. Good luck!
