My girlfriend will be in Bangkok for a few days as she travels around Thailand and is looking to have some clothes made. Specifically, she'd like to get a custom leather jacket.

Can anyone recommend a great tailor on or around Khao San Road?

Thanks for your help.

The worst place in Thailand to get tailoring done is on and near Khao San Road. The prices are double and the quality no different than elsewhere.

Khao San Road is a baby soother for the challenged traveller. Really, leave the place to the young first-timers out to waste their cash ignorantly but joyfully.

The Lonely Planet site has listings of places in the tailoring hotbed down where the Sky Train meets the river. I haven't been there, but I've heard secondhand that the prices and quality are better.
