enter "what should I pack for Korea" into www.searcheslcafe.com and you'll be amazed to see that there are plenty of answers as this question is asked about every 2 days. Wink

Oh no....its good to ask questions, this is a free forum. But I've personally always come across things that people forget to bring up by searching through several threads.

Good luck with your move to Korea!

You can find deodorant relatively easily here. What's difficult to find is antiperspirant. Usually there is only one brand for sale at department stores and it comes in small sticks.

For "what to bring", it all depends on how much you're willing to adapt to what's locally available. If it's consumables, then it may not even be practical to bring a year's worth of stuff. If you're really big, then you might want to make sure to bring enough clothes for a year (all seasons) because it's harder to find, especially outside of Seoul. Otherwise, take a look at your daily life and ask "What couldn't I live without?" and then check whether or not that if available in Korea.

Pack up lots of pants and shoes. The kind of pants that you like, forget about obtaining them here. Also whatever kinds of shoes you like, pack as many as possible. If you have second hand shops where you are at, gather up a bunch of pants and put them in an additional pack. Good shirts and everything else is findable at Iteawon. Also if you want a real nice quality down parka or good quality shell, bring it. The really nice parka and shell sizes in Korea don't fit westerners.

I literally spent about 3 hours packing the day of my depature. Everything is fine, but there are few things that I wish I had, that I found easily here though: Bigger towel, shower sandals/ house slippers, gloves, mens scarf.

Nivea 24hr antiperspirant spray seems to be sold in lots of E-marts.
