mine is horrible and i'm really embarrassed by it. i had to write a note to my co teacher just now and looked at my note and felt disgusted with myself. i literally write like an 8 year old. it's even more embarrassing when i have to fill out legal documents. even when i'm trying to write neatly, it looks like crap. my students hand writing is 100 times better than mine. hows yours? |

For the blackboard or notes to my coteacher, it's good. I reserve my chicken scratch shorthand for my notebook, so that my coteacher can't read what I write |

I frequently have to decipher what I've written. That's pretty much how terrible my handwriting is. |

for some reason, when i write on the blackboard (whiteboard) my handwriting is normal, even teacher like. it's only when i write on paper. |

Pretty bad but I think readable. I sometimes deliberately write in terrible cursive on the board to get kids more adjusted to a native writing style. Something I've been doing with Korean.
I'd like to teach cursive writing, actually but no time... What I do works though, they understand my weird 7's and F's and G's etc. |

i teach cursive in one class period (middle school). it's a good one-shot lesson, kids enjoy it. you'll get notes and letters the next day. |

I write in all caps, don't know why, just a habit. I've been told that my handwriting should be made into a computer font. I've also been told that my handwriting looks like a serial killers. |

Pretty good, actually. My brother has cursive handwriting like calligraphy which looks damn fine, I must say. |

That's a weird coincidence, op. I decided just yesterday to start a project documenting my handwriting as I experiment with ways to improve it and hopefully end up with something a bit more powerful than the weak script I have now. Today is day one. |

cool. you should look into handwriting analysis. i bought the idiots guide to handwriting analysis. it says that handwriting shouldn't be called handwriting, instead it should be called brain writing because your handwriting is a subconscious thing. if you notice, your handwriting probably looks different depending on the mood. |

I devised my own handwriting style way back in my schooldays. Essentially, I use printed letters for easy legibility but with a few unobtrusive cursive touches for quickness. Bold, functional, & looks pretty cool on a page or a chalkboard.
I'd guess with a bit of determination & practice most people could reprogram their writing hand, if they wanted to. |

I'm the same way.
Who care's, nice handwriting helpful for secretaries and office types. Most doctor's are terrible and nobody ever calls them on it. I think there is a correlation between messy hand-writing and IQ.
When I need to be neat, I slow my writing speed down by maybe 25% and make larger letters and voila, it's fine. |
