Sure you can. There is a hen available for all current firmwares now. It's easy to do just a matter of putting the files on the memory stick. It's not 100 percent compatible yet but it is getting there. No need to take it to Yongsan its easy to do. Check out this site for info.

You can even do this on a pspgo if you wanted to pay the extra money for that model. |

| Thanks. I read through that website and it said that this does not actually load and play Isos. I have to load another program. Which one do you use? |

i don't have a 3000 or Go, but it looks like you should update your official firmware(ofw) to 6.31 or 6.35 if you haven't already. you can get the 6.35 on the sony site...
http://us.playstation.com/psp/twopsps/
or the 6.31 here...
http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/67
Then you click on either the first or third link here...
http://wololo.net/wagic/pro-hen-6-3x/
same can be found here...
http://www.psp-hacks.com/2011/01/03/hen-homebrew-enabler-for-psp-6-31-and-6-35-released/
If you download the wololo 6.35, there is an easy-to-follow readme included. The "Minna no sukkiri Demo" is not included in the wololo download, but can be found in the psp-hacks link.

The Hen you need to download depends on the firmware of your PSP, and is independent of the model (it works on all models, 1000, 2000, 3000, and PSP Go). Click on the firmware installed on your PSP to be redirected to the appropriate download page:
* 6.20
* 6.30
* 6.31
* 6.35
* 6.36
If you have a firmware below 6.20, we suggest you upgrade to 6.20 or higher, and install one of the above. |
Looks like it should work on your 3000/5.
I was seriously considering a Go, but why bother? The screen is smaller, and the fat and slim fit in my jacket pockets fine, so what's the point? |

| You can use the prometheus iso loader. It can be found at the psp hacks site that was linked above from Denverdeath. Note some games have been found to not work at the minute but most of them do and there are new builds on the way to add more features and compatibility. |

Good points.
One other point. I'm pretty sure that you have to rehack it each time you power down, so try not to do so often. Regardless, a small "price" to pay for the ability to play ISOs and CSOs... |

Thanks for all the help guys. I picked up a new PSP for 180000. I took it home and had it modified in less than 10 minutes. The links took longer to download than the actual mod.
You were correct about the power down. I had to reinstall the hen. But it took less than a minute.
Thanks again. |
