|

I went to jimjilban for the first time and it was great, very relaxing, very enjoyable experience and I can really understand why Koreans go to them to relax. When I left my muscles were very relaxed and I can't believe all the things you can do at them for just 10,000 won.
However, I felt kind of awkward in the spa area being naked with everyone else and this is the only thing keeping me from going like once a week.
Does anyone know of any jimjilbans that allow you to wear swim trunks in the spa section? I guess not the fact that they will allow you to wear them as much as if it would be considered somewhat "normal" to wear them. Surely there has to be one.

Get used to being naked dude. I know the adjossis stare at your package?
Yeah, forget them and enjoy that hot hot bubbling jasmine infused water. |

Ha! That's right.
The more self-conscience you are about your pressence then the more likely you are to get people's attention.
If you walk and act like one'atheguys and ignore them then they equally
ignore you.
Personally, I like jimjilbangs specially on a cold winter's day or after a long, hard hike.
I don't give a fly'n fig who's there or who's look'n. Don't
care. And usually, neither do Koreans.
Oh yeah, a little more advice.....DON'T make eye contact with ANYONE! ha!
It's Korea's version of "dropping the soap."
On a side note....not to brag...but uh...making "whoopie" with your lady love
while spending the night in a nice, secluded jimjilbang is highly recommended.
Yes, it is possible. It was great and laugh about it to this day. |

is this a homophobic thing carried over from america?
i'm not saying you're homophobic, but lots of american guys are afraid of doing things that might be perceived as "gay," i.e. being naked in front of other guys.
i agree with the others, get over it. it's not a big deal. |

I'd like to go to one with my fiance but I'm not interested in being segregated. I think I'd get a little bored if I'm sitting there alone. Are there any unisex jimjilbangs? |

The eighth floor of the Koreana Hotel has an excellent JimJilBang. A little pricey, though. |

The jimjilbang parts are coed. It's only the sauna section where you're separate. Go with your fiance, have your soak, then chill out together in one of the heated rooms. |

Did you ever play sports in high school or take a gym class?
Other guys can be naked in front of you without there being a sexual element to it. If this isnt the case for you than you might want to see a therapist about your homoerotic fears. |

the more they look, the more I feel like THE KING.
i mean, I'd rather that they don't look, but I understand... if I were in their position, I'd stare at me pecker as well.
man up, let it hang, and get over your insecurities. this is the last place you should be worried about letting it all hang, especially if you were not gifted by mother nature. |

Jimjilbangs are typically non-naked OP.
People wear robes or PJs. The naked part of thiose establishments is the spa or bath area....
Good luck. |
