Planning on flying to Korea in February. I want to bring my xbox 360 with me. What's the best way?

I don't think they'll let me carry it on right?
Should I try to pack it in a hardshell suitcase and check it with the airline?

Also,
Does anyone else have a US Xbox 360 in Korea with them? What's the best method of powering it? I've heard you can use the Korean power cord with the US console. I've also heard using a power converter is good.

Thanks!

Suitcase.

You'll either need a step-down transformer or a Korean power cord.

I brought mine in my carry on luggage with no problems. They make you take it out of you bag at the security check, same as they would with a laptop.

If you are going to put your 360 in checked luggage, use a hard-case luggage, lock it, and maybe even buy some luggage webbing to put around it. Things do go missing.

Saw a video on how anyone can use a simply pen to break open the zipper on a locked suitcase, open it fully, rifle through it, then zip it up with no evidence that the bag was ever tampered with. Since seeing that, I wrap my bags with a ____load of packing tape to make it not worth the effort.

Oh, and step-down power converters widely available here. Got one for 12,000 won, probably much cheaper than buying a Korean Xbox power supply.
