|
|
Quite a while ago I made arrangements to work for a school, starting mid-February. I signed the contract and have sent them my degree. Since that time, I have found a better situation that is closer to my friends, a school that I'm more familiar with, same pay, better hours, all that jazz. So, I decided to work at this new school instead. I was straight with the other school, letting them know in plenty of time to find a new teacher, and such.
Now, they are giving me the run-around in trying to get my degree back. I am not really sure what I should do. I've called, e-mailed, have said I'd go to the school and pick it up, only to have my contact person humm and haww about when she'd be there to give it to me.
Should I just go there and get it? What would you suggest? |

Ask them what the problem in returning the degree? Have them leave it in the administation office - they are there every day. If they don't say "yes" tell them you're going to report it stolen to the Korean police; seriously. |

They've lost it, and they don't care about you so finding it is at the bottom of a long list of priorities. I'm pretty sure if you went with the police option, somebody would be assigned the task of finding it and you'd get your degree back but it might be easier just to turn up and refuse to leave without it. |
