				|
 |
				| My hagwon boss has been in a tizzy today about a law change that requires English kindergartens to adhere to the same strict regulations that koreans kindergartens have to. She's afraid it will mean the end of her business.
I can't imagine that all those giant chain schools that operate English kindergartens would just sit there and take it though.

Anyone else heard anything about this?

				| I'm interested in this too. My coworker said explained it like this: regular Korean kindergartens adhere to stricter rules than English kindergartens, and have some amount of oversight from the govt. Apparently the law change is just a matter of forcing English kindergartens to change their name to "hagwon", thereby upholding the integrity of the name "kindergarten". From what I heard, it's not that big of a deal. | |

				| this is hilarious. it will not happen... imagine the tax revenues lost for the government. "could be shut down", in Korean means "there's a chance, but it won't really happen, as somebody just wanted to change the law/rule temporarily to flex their muscles in their new "boss" position.
and imagine the rise in private tutoring costs for the families.
