I bought an iPad myself (Off someone in this forum no less) and if you're a tech nerd like me, you'll love it.
I ended up picking up an adapter for it so that I could connect it to the monitor in my classroom and am running my class PowerPoints off of it. This frees up my school issued laptop for attendance and grading (without me having to worry about tech issues during class having to mess around with an extended desktop situation.) This has enabled me to grade during times when the class is working, really increasing my efficiency.
Plus, after work, it's a really cool toy. Mine is the 64gb version, so it's almost a challenge to fill all that space.
I have to agree with others that it's really bad form to basically tell people not to buy it in a thread for selling it. If you really want to critique it, go start a thread in the technology forum on it. Something tells me you wouldn't be happy either if you were trying to sell something and people were telling others not to buy it. |

There is no such thing as a 4G iPad (or iPhone for that matter).
With that said, come on guys...this item is clearly no longer for sale. The OP hasn't been responding to "Is the iPad still for sale?" posts for the last week. |

You are right - the 4G iPad will not be released until towards the end of 2011.
But - there is a 4G iPhone - its been on sale in the shops for months.
You are right though - the last time the OP wrote on this thread was January 19th.. I should have checked that. |

maybe because the seller said they were leaving the country for 5 weeks and needed a quick sale, hence the rapid reduction in price...if this item is still for sale, the seller won't be so quick to sell at a reduced price when they come back...
whoever does buy it has missed a bargain...providing it hasn't sold |

There is no 4G ipad and won't be for awhile. Yes there's a 4G iphone, but that references to the generation of iphone, not the phone network it's using. So a 4G ipad won't happen for at least 2 more years because we haven't seen the 2nd generation ipad yet.
What you call a 3G ipad is simply an ipad that has the added capabilities of using the cellphone network to access the internet along with wifi. They use the term 3G to say that it is capable of doing that on the 3rd generation cellphone system.
If you want to use a ipad 3G in Korea, you'll have to sign up at a phone company. I think you'll have to get a service plan for 2 years. (not positive on this)
My guess is that the 2nd generation ipad will be announced/released in the US in early April. It won't come to Korea until May or later though. Either way, that's what I'm saving my money for. Seriously, unlike cars or houses, don't buy used electronics, you're asking for grief. |
