I spent 5 days in Shanghai for Lunar New Year before...and everything was NOT closed. People tend to exaggerate this. I found plenty to see and do. Some things were closed, but many were not. Just like in Korea, people are always saying everything is closed for Chuseok and Seollal, but they are NOT. I was also in Taipei once during Chuseok and plenty of things were open. People need to stop lying and getting people all worked up, scared and worried about everything being closed.  |
