ey up,

im thinkng of getting a used PS3 from busan - theres a guy selling a 160gb slim for W300,000.... New, they're 380,000, is it worth the extra 80 for a new one, and thus the knoweldge ive got a valid warranty etc?

the advantage of the 300 used one is the guy seemed open to a deal, so could some get controllers and a game thrown in...

are there any reliability issues to think about? ive heard the slim ps3s are pretty safe from the yellow light etc..

(the other alternative is getting a used xbox for 150, but then i cant play GT5 or MGS4, which are big selling points imo, plus the risk of the red ring, and i cant find any used slims (new is 260 for the 4gb))

any info or advice for what to look for or q's to ask would be great!

cheers

tom

ps3s are generally pretty sturdy and I wouldn't fear getting a used one.

I've gone through 2 used xbox 360s so far and I will never put another dollar into one of those.

cool, this is pretty much what i thought. ill pop down there today or at the weekend, if he still has the used ps3 ill get it and work out a deal for games etc....

out of interest, what do you think would be a fair price for the used ps3, 2 controllers and a couple of games, i was thinking W360-400k?

cheers!

PS3's are solid. My buddy has travelled around the world with his for the last 3 years and it still runs fine. Mine has sat on the same shelf next to the Xbox since I bought it this time a year ago. Despite a few scratches it is still perfect. Compare that with my 360, which has a bizarre discoloration on the plastic front, and the air vents on the side have warped and brown plastic from use.

I'll be selling my 120 gb slim plus 4 games and 2 controllers early next month and I'll be looking for well above 300k₩ so I'd say anything in that ballpark is fair.
