I'm just curious about it. Had a friend who was non renewed after a couple of years because of a low score from co-teacher who was bonkers. She wanted to hate on the guy for whatever reason and seemed to want to get him in the end. He went to his supervisor before when there was a problem. The sup said it was taken care of and the conflict seemed to stop, then the low rating and the supervisor doing nothing. Seems really unfair. I mean there ought to be some kind of an appeal process. I went through something similar my first year, but my sup got my back and had the province renew me anyways. I've since scored well on teaching.

Just curious if there's any way to appeal these things, if foriegners should document these instances, such as abuse or negligence from a coteacher. There ought to be a way to rate them too.

Also, if you have a bad score, can you get another public school job or is that null and void? I have read on here of people getting new public school jobs even though you're not suppose to be able to. How do you go about getting a new one?

This isn't about me. I'm managing ok. But, a phyco co-teacher could happen to any one of us. My friend with 2 years of teaching in EPIK never thought it'd happen to him. So, what should we know and how should we be prepared if it ever happens to us?

Of course, there is the obvious to work hard, bla bla bla. But when your best efforts fail because that person is determined to make you pay, then what?

OK, discussion time......

Really??!! Everyone here has been renewed and not had a co-teacher give them a bad evaluation? I've heard of some getting a new public school job in spite of the evaluation. How does this happen?
