|
|
hi all,
if any of the forum experts can please advise,
is prep time usually included in the hourly rate.
for example if i was offered a part time job of 1 hour per day at 40,000 won...does that usually mean a class time of between 40-50minuties plus 10-20 minutes prep time?
or will they only pay me a percentage of the 40,000 won for the actual class time only?
thanks for any answers... |

It is what you negotiate.
Usually, people doing part-time work (f2) get paid for their class time (40k per class as an example) and the required prep (on your time) is considered to be included as part of your job and payment was included as part of your rate per class.

Just to add in, because of the times you listed -- most places that hire you for a 40 or 50 minute class at 40k an hour would pay you 40k for that 40-50 minutes (a "teaching hour" or "class hour"). Some places may not, and as Ttom said, check your contract -- a "teaching hour" is often defined there (at least, it always has been on each contract I have had in Korea...though I am E2, not an F-series). |
