Has anyone attended their full time language program? I'm wondering what the homework load is like and about how many hours a day you have to put into the program.
Any help is appreciated
Thank you in advance |

right in front of PNU is KLIFF, the Korean hagwon for English speakers. Its run by Jenna Kang, who speaks English and Japanese and teaches in both. Ive studied with her many times and always learned a ton.

I can already speak korean, I'm actually just taking the program so I don't have to take TOPIK and can be a full time student in the fall. Appreciate the help but I've already signed up for PNU and paid the tuition. I'm just wondering if anyone has gone here. Thanks. |

ive been looking at taking a korean course. i was recommended one run by PNU, but when googling i came across KLIFF.
being judgemental, i was put off by the poor website (mainly, it has no prices and seemed to have been last updated in 2004..) and so have been looking elsewhere - judging by what you've said, i take it you would recommend KLIFF? what are the prices like?
i think i might email her, really keen to start doing an evening course a few times a week, cant go on much longer bumbling about in english and hand gestures! |

haha, i told her that, but I think shes quite busy with her classes. I also think she pays more attention to her facebook
um..here.

I didnt pay very much, and yes, I totally recommend her. Ive taken a few different courses in my time here (in Seoul, etc), and personally, I think most of the teachers, while nice, were a bit clueless on what to teach. Jenna has great lesson plans, explained everything to me and if I didnt get it in Korean, she could in English. She has a ton of reference stuff as well. She also has a big variety of students, it was kind of cool to study with all the different nationalities. In Seoul, sure, but in Busan....anyway yeah, recommended! |

I don't know about the PNU program. Just to let you know, PKNU has a Korean program as well, with full time and part time options. Something else to check out depending where in Busan you live. |

I was originally planning to go to pukyong but the school actually doesnt ahve a good rep. Korean program seems okay but if i take two semesters of korean then become a full time undergrad student ill get more scholarships so I'd rather do that. I'm really just worried about the homework load. |

bumping this. I plan to stay with some relatives in Busan this summer and take korean classes. The programs I've heard of were PNU's, KLIFF's, and PS Korean, but I haven't really found much about what each program is like. |

TBH, I didnt like PS Korean as much as KLIFF. They just didnt seem as focused and I felt Jenna taliored the lesson more for me than PS K did. Also, I didnt really "like" the PS teachers as much. If it makes sense, they didnt seem to have the passion. I gave Jenna alot of my money because I got the results, incl the help she gives for the KPT, it helped me a ton. ok then |
