To mark the 25th anniversary of the launch of cruises on the Han River, the city of Seoul is rolling back fares to their original prices.

Until March 31, adults pay W3,500 (US$1=W1,118) and children W1,800 for the first cruise of the day, which is at 2 p.m.

I went on the Hahn river cruise once.

It was the most boring thing I ever wasted time and money on.

(1) Pay money

(2) Get on a shabby boat

(3) Stand or sit whilst the boat make its slow way up the dirty river, then turns around and takes you back to where you started

(4) Get off.

If it's a booze-cruise, great........but I suspect it's not.

.....and it probably would be a bit grim in the Winter months.....

That pretty much sums it all up! I've did the river cruise about three years ago because I guess at the time it was just one of those touristy things I just had to do.

The city looks cool lit up at night (I know you can go to Seoul tower, before anyone say it).

seoul and the han river can be especially beautiful at sunset on a winter's day

especially with snow and the backdrop of the surrounding mountains
