Ok so a friend of mine who will be doing some traveling lent me his PS3 for 6 months. I got and noticed that he forgot to give me the usb cable to charge the controllers, though no biggy as I found one that I had that amazingly fits. I also noticed there is NO cable to connect to the internet, which I assume it normally comes with? I do have a Belkin router and I guess I could try and add it wirelessly but I thought sine I play it right beside that I could connect it that way.

Anyway my question is can I register on the PSN network another username even though my buddy has already registered? It's not the end of the world I guess as I'm looking at just playing God of war 3 and Heavy rain right now, but the new DC Universe online might be a worthy purchase.

No cable is provided, you'll have to provide your own and hook it into your router. You can create your own PSN account. First, create your own account on the actual PS3 (if you go to the first icon you should have that option) then create a PSN account and have it set to sign you in automatically when you start the PS3 with your account. In terms of purchasing content online, I'm not sure if you can do that as you're in Korea. Usually it's no problem to set up a PSN account however if you want to purchase something they'll recognize your ISP as coming from here and you'll have to set up a country specific account in order to download it (which creates another problem as mentioned in this forum because it won't accept our ARC #s since you need to input your id # in order to create any sort of account due to laws) Do a google search to see if you can get around the purchasing aspect...

I've had no problems buying on PSN. Have a friend/family member buy a PSN credit card in your home country for your account that is set up in your home country, get them to email the code to you, then use the credit.

only caveat is a few games have their DLC region locked...as in the DLC only works with a copy of the game from the same region. That's rare though.
