So I ordered an external hard drive from g market. Live in a villa told the guy to put it inside my outer door in the washing machine. It's not in my house it's like a little porch thing before the main door. There is a door to this but it's not locked. I just keep shoes and the washing machine is in there. Anyways I get home and it's not there. So either he lied and didn't drop it off or someone came in and stole it. He claims he delivered it. Do I have any options?? Your thoughts?? Can market help? If you've encountered anything like this let me know. I'm sad. |

That sucks....I hate to say its probably gone.
Best advice I can give is in the future have it delivered to your school or hagwon.
I just placed an order for a USB external hard drive too.... not a promising sign... |

Yeah, it's gone. There is nothing you can do about it.
Happened to us as well. We got dozens of packages left in front of our door untill one vanished. The delivery guy called us and he was told he can leave the package. In this case it's on you. You could only get refund or something if the guy left the package without asking you what to do. |

tek-bae services suck. in the future, ALWAYS choose the "cash on delivery" payment option. they'll be much more aggressive in making sure it's delivered correctly, either to you or a neighbor or a security guard, because they will be fiending for their 2500 won. |

If they don't refund your money or figure out what happened in seven days or so call your credit card for a refund. You'll pay like $2 or something for the chargeback but that's it. |

The delivery system IMO is great in Korea. Everything is super quick (probably due to the size of Korea), never late, never had anything not arrive. But I do live in a building with a guard, so they don't just leave stuff at my door. |

i live in a building with a guard too. but it seems to be impossible for them to follow instructions like to leave it in my mailbox if the guard isn't present. they'll call me when i'm in class, i won't answer obviously, and it gets returned to sender. i've found it to be quite weak.
hence cash on delivery. either they seek me out when i'm home or the guard pays it and i pay him back. |

hmmm... i will definitely pay on delivery from now on. I will try and cancel it on my credit card but I doubt they will do it since it's kind of my own fault as I told the guy to leave it in the washing machine. Anyways, I guess I will order another one and get it delivered to work. Thanks guys. I'm kind of over it now but still bitter. |
