I applied in October for a "Homecountry" Federal police check, then sent it off to a notary to have it notarised and then sent it off to the "Dept of Foreign affairs" to have it apostilled.
However, the police check was issued with the date "November 01st 2010"
and by the time it had been notarised and arrive at the "Dept of Foreign Affairs to be apostilled" it was apostilled with the date "December 08th 2010"
My new school is not taking it to the Immigration office to apply for my new visa until February, 23rd 2011.
I heard that criminal police checks cannot be older than 3-months when given to the immigration office.
As my police certificate will be 3 months and 3 weeks old when it is given to immigration - but the apostille stamp on it will be only 2 1/2 months old - will this be a problem? |

A CRC with apostille must land on the desk of the immigration officer adjudicating your file within 6 months of issue.

Excellent! 6 months is much better than 3 months. I will have no problems then.
Thanks a lot. |
