Does the school get sent information about your visa when you renew? Do they know when/if you renewed your visa?

They can't not know since they are your sponsor and required to submit documents to support your extension/renewal at immigration.
unless of course you meant something like, "I was going to renew but decided to run instead," in which case they would not know that you did not renew but would assume that you did since you had the necessary documents and they are holding onto 10 days of your pay AND possibly a sizable deposit and your airfare as well.

Usually, they come to you asking to make copies. This happens a few times in the start, and then in the middle of the year, for some reason they will need it again.
There is really no need to babysit them. The main issue is to get the ok from immigration. |
