has anyone done this yet? wouldn't mind some opinions on if it's worth it....
i'm going later today [friday] to pick up a friend who's flying in and wondered if this was a decent option, over the airport express bus thing
she gets in at 16:30, and i was planning to go from hongdae as i work only 3 stops away from it.
whats the total travel time like? |

It's 53 minutes from Seoul station to Incheon airport. It's cheaper than the airport express bus at 5,300 won, but getting to the train takes time as well, which you should take into account. From Hongdae, it might be about 40 minutes. |

it's new, nice and clean.
one upside is that you'll never have to worry about traffic going to incheon. |

Highly recommended. Cheaper than the airport shuttle bus and no traffic. |

Was on it just last week. Aside from possibly having to descend into the bowels of hell to reach the train, it's awesome. |

Agree with everyone else, it's easy and painless. No traffic issues.
On another note, makes getting placed in North Incheon much more appealing to EPIK people. |

It would be the cheaper option.
Why the hell did the airport bus go from 8,000 won to 15,000 won??? |

This is the first time I heard about this line from hongde to incheon airport.
Is there transfers along the way? Also, where in hongde station is this exactly? |

I'm sure signage would be in place in the station. I noticed the new signage in the Digital Media City station telling you where to go to transfer to the airport line.. |

If you're arriving at Central City or the Express Bus Terminal it doesn't make any difference. Subway 9 is still the subway to take to Gimpo. Subway 9 is really nice too, just crowded. |

So from Seoul Station to Gimpo should be about 45 minutes? I'm planning to fly from Gimpo next week so I want to plan accordingly. |
