Put yourself in the place of the outgoing teacher; severance, final salary, airfare, deposit are all on the line. Also no replacement means an inevitable extension of duties.
Thus a terrific imperative to ensure a replacement is landed.
Then a glance through the applicant's resume shows 3 pages plus of rampant overachieving and a surplus of color cartridges. I get an impression of embellishment with gay abandon sometimes.
The email questions are often limited to social scene, internet availability and shopping, no worries about how to teach or teaching skills.
You may be aware that not all is 'peaches and cream' or is it 'peaches and roses' at the hakwon but why tell the applicant that when at odds of 50 to one he/she won't find anything better? |
