Anyone ever been? I am interested in Central Countries and this Country seems very interesting in a bad way. Anyone had heaps of experience in Central Asia? |

These places can be very tricky to get in and out of. For visas, google Stantours as you usually need a Letter of Invitation to enter the countries.
I'd love to go to Uzbekistan, maybe Kyrgyzstan, but the other 3...especially Turkmenistan...not so much. If you want a repressive dictatorship, go with Iran. At least it has culture.

Letters of invitation ? Pauh ! They always say that but you don't need it, justa visa.
I plan on going to Uzbekistan in the summer, home of Timur the Lame. |
