Hi all,
I'm looking for information about these two schools. I'd like to know if they are good schools for a certified teacher to work at. PM me if you prefer to avoid replying here.
Many thanks |

The turnover there is very low. I had a decent impression there and I was offerred an extremely competitive salary but less than competitive housing allowance there a while ago. Yet, I had to turn it down because I was unable to find the right housing in Seoul that was not too far from the school. The infrastructure there seems to be excellent. The school does have its unique quirks (not bad in any way) different from other schools in Korea which you will find out in your interview. If you like Gangnam a lot with housing already or are willing to live in a low-cost rooftop housing arrangement, then this might be a good option. |

alpope23, Do you mind elaborating on GPA a bit more? They just made me a decent offer. However, they want me to teach 3 subjects: health, science, and two math courses! So... how bad is the school? |

Hahah, prodigy academy?
I guess they only accept really smart students? No, it's whoever has money.
Sorry can't help you with advice. I just found the name to be funny. |

Rainbow International School in Seoul, Korea is a bad place to teach. RIS is a bad place to send your children.
The administration and owner lack ethics and bully their staff. They no longer employ male teachers because they feel threatened by them. The owner's children and friends have the run of the place and are not punished for violence, cheating, or disrespect. Within the last year, most of the faculty have been replaced.
It is also connected to the international Gulen movement. |
