|
|
Hi,
This is my first post, sorry if it's dumb...
A post on here said that you will not need official transcripts to get your E2 visa anymore, starting this year. That thread then focused on the criminal record requirement and petered out last year. I'm hoping to get some confirmation because all the recruiter sites I've seen still say they are required, and I'm finding the official Korean sites impossible to navigate (probably my own stupidity). It costs money to order transcripts (especially three copies) so I don't want to if I don't have to, but I don't want to end up having to wait around for them later if I do.
Can anyone help me clarify this, link me to an official site stating the current policy, or send me one of these immigration newsletters, or tell me who to ask?
Thanks alot! |

K-immi no longer requires that you submit sealed, official transcripts when applying for a visa confirmation number
BUT
The K-consulate may request them if there is any question as to the validity of the degree
AND the employer may want to see them as well as an employment requirement.
