Well, I tried several places in the anyang area to get the typical cross-hands thing and '5' 'saturday' etc. So unless Seoul is different. I don't really want to travel to seoul to charge up my phone though. If there was a festival that wasn't diseased I could go to on the same day I may be more inclined.

Err... I was thinking of topping-up on-line or by ARS rather than raw cash deals even though the process doesn't seem as straightforward as one might hope. And of course, there's the chasm between direct top-up to your carrier and topping up through an external contractor, while I have no idea which one you're using.

Online isn't an option for me, and with my phone, I get no such luxuries generally anyway. 30,000 won for it, It doesn't tell me who is calling me, or how much credit I have left (the first time ever was a few days ago, sending me a text at random to inform me), some people say my number isn't valid to them, no working internet or tv etc.
Still, it was cheap so I win.

I think my only option is to walk in and ask for money to be put on. Then they get my name and make some calls and about 5 minutes later I have some money on my phone.
Lemme know if there is a definite way I can do better. In england it was just a case of calling a 3-digit number, pressing '1' about 3 times and voila.

So they let you know that you were low and you ignored the text and now you complain? Maybe you could just plan your weekend through this off-topic forum...
