I've been out of the country for about a month but I'm back. How are the ski slopes? What has all the cold weather meant? Anybody been out?

I've been to Bearstown for some night skiing a couple of weeks ago...not good. But is it ever? The snow was ungroomed and icey.

I just got back from Daemyung and it was NICE! I think they had all trails open.

Jisan is quite fun. Not too big, fairly priced, about 6-7 slopes, and close to Seoul. It's before Wonju on the 50 highway.

Going tonight, in fact

What's it take, like four minutes to get down these trails?

Haha. Yeah it's not like you're out West in the US, but it's just as good or better as most places if you're from the East coast.

Yeah, by no means is comparable to Colorado - but it's fun nonetheless.

I think the longest run is about 700m.
Either that or drive to Gangwando for 5 hours to get a 2.5 km run.

the silk road slope in Muju is over 6km long. It's got some good enough twists and turns too. The people sittingdown on the corners make it even more fun.
