I am extremely pumped for this card. Here are my picks:
Torres over Banuelos
gimme Bader over Jones in a minor upset. I think Jones is due to look human. I could be REALLY wrong though.
Gimme Rocha over Ellenberger. That list of under 3 minutes submissions the guy has got is pretty damn impressive
Gimme Forrest over Franklin in what should be a war. Real tough call on this one.
Finally I am taking Silva over Belfort. I have a hard time believing anyone can out strike Silva.
What you guys think? |

I would agree with all of your picks except Bader over Jones. Jones will walk through Bader like he's nothing. TKO round 2.
This is a great card. One of the best the UFC has put on in a long time. The Strikeforce Heavyweight Tournament looks better though. |

Edgar vs Maynard was supposed to be rescheduled to this one. Where is it? That's the one I wanted to see. |

I am just picking Bader because I can't see him dismantling people like he has forever but as I said, I could be REALLY wrong about that. The dude has the Anderson Silva lankiness to him. Nasty fighter. |

I think Jones will eventually fight someone with really good jujitsu and those long limbs will be his downfall. But as long as the UFC feed him wrestlers and strikers he will continue to win. |

the match was a snooze fest...3 rounds of kickboxing.
Banuelos failed to cut the distance, Torres had a 13 inch reach advantage...Torres threw plenty and plenty of jabs...anyways, the bout was uneventful, no clinching, no takedown attempts (ok..maybe one)...no submission wrestling...
ROCHA VS ELLENBERGER |

ROUND 1
ROCCHA's transitions are SICK and SLICK
SLICK RICK WOULD BE PROUD!
DAMMMMMMMMM
ROUND 2
a more conservative round, looks like both fighters are tired, or getting there, a flew flurries ala street fighter 2 on SNES moves (tiger knee, balrog clinch, chun li kicks)...oh snap a triangle attempt by ROCCHA...OHH the bell rings, end of round 2
ROUND 3
the crowd is booing...both competitors are tired but still giving it...50 seconds left in the round...Ellenberger got the takedown is in ROCCHA's guard, one elbow drop...bell rings, end of round 3...
ROCCHA GETs the decision win...duh?
OH NO, ELLENBERGER gets the slit judges win...what the f???? |

Jones made it look easy. He had his way the entire fight. I love Shogun but he could be in trouble. |

agreed Jones made it looks easy.
He came into that bout over 220lbs...he is a natural HW...
anyways, I hope Belfort wins...Silva needs to taste defeat, we have yet to see deal with a loss (in the UFC), losing can only make one even better, it challenges one's real motives...anyways, chances are Silva will win...oh here he comes! |

SILVA wins via (push kick) to the face (on the chin)...knocked Belfort, followed by 3 punches on the ground, great ref stoppage...
Silva should retire. Or the MW division needs "new" blood, GSP, BONES JONES...Lee Myung-bak? Or maybe a rematch with Chael.. |
