hi all,
if any of the forum experts can please advise...
is it possible to get E2 visa for 1 part time job only?
if yes, is there a minimum number of teaching hours set by immigration?
in the extreme case of getting a part time job of only doing a few classes a week..is this possible to get an E2 visa for?
thanks for any answers...

yeah....they're rare, but they exist.
Lowest hour jobs I've seen are around 10-15.
I'm still kicking myself for not accepting one in Seoul that was 10 hours a week and 2 week days off.....one could add alot of 2nd jobs to make a bundle of cash or start a study room. |

I hope you are not advocating illegal teaching!?
As to the OP why the need for E-2 and part time job? Studying, really really laid back,
I think their is not limit but you still need to find a school to sponsor you. But schools have certain regs in hiring - so many students so many teachers allowed, not wanting to pay pension or health to full time sure as heck would not want to pay for a part timer.
Still it can be doable, you just have to find a school that will want to work with you. |

WRONG! "Boss spoke with Immigration" is meaningless here. Far too many people have found that out the hard way, going by quite a few posts on this board. It's your visa, not the boss's. You speak to Immigration if you do not want to have any trouble. |

F-2 can start study rooms legally
2nd jobs can be added legally as well....I had 3 jobs/contracts at one point legally! |
