Ladies and Gentlemen:
I'm at a time when I have submitted my FBI check and gotten a job, which starts at the end of the month. My visa is being transferred, and rules are generally more relaxed on transfers when it comes to documentation.
In order to satisfy Immigration, I must present proof that I have submitted my FBI background check. The check was submitted more than one week ago, overnighted, so it stands to reason that the FBI has had time to acknowledge receipt of the package.
To satisfy Immigration, there is some kind of formal documentation from the FBI that verifies receipt of the application, but I have not had it explained to me, nor has the FBI taken the initiative to submit one voluntarily.
How do I find this document? Google is not necessarily helpful because I get a lot of misdirected links when trying to nail-down what I'm describing.
Any individual perspective would be very helpful, thank you for your time! |

if you overnighted it to the fbi, then you should have a receipt with a tracking number when you sent it, go to company's website (ie fedex) and enter that number, it will show when it was delivered.
you can print that or just show immig your fedex receipt
not that difficult |

Erm. All that shows is that I sent them a package, Immigration in Seoul probably won't accept that.
I'd be happy to submit them photos of all the documents I sent, including the envelopes and tracking #'s, but I've already been informed that isn't enough...
Not to stomp out your suggestion, but I was hoping there was something I could get from the FBI acknowledging receipt? |

The very first thing I did was email my school and my recruiter the tracking numbers --to WV and return to ROK-- & photos, two weeks ago, yet they're still asking for independent confirmation. It would seem they don't like your particular suggestion, which is why I shot it down.

The only proof you have is:
1. Money order / check made out to FBI - receipt
2. FedEx / EMS (Korean Post) / Mail receipt confirmation
3. Have the FBI email you a receipt or confirmation that they processed it. Tell them your situation that Korean Immigration need some kind of proof
4. Have the school / immigration call FBI, I doubt they will do this.
5. Wait and pray - this time of year - FBI process in 2-4 weeks.
Good luck!

Is this your personal experience, or second hand? |
