Hey y'all.

Recommendations on a bank that
1) allows online banking and international transfers, and
2) has a low transfer fee?

The online transaction, in addition to convenience, would also be very useful once I leave.

Busan Bank, my current, doesn't offer online transactions of any kind and charges 18-25K krw/transfer.

Boo.

I 2nd KEB though they don't have many branches so you'll get surcharged at pretty much every atm. 1-2,000 per withdraw really adds up by the end of the year

If you want to keep things simple with 1 account. Try woori, I think they're 20,000 per transfer but your paying for the convenience of having an atm at every corner.

I use Kookmin Bank. All it took was one visit to the bank to set up the option for international transfers from any ATM. Anytime I want to send money to Canada I just go to an ATM and wire it from there. All my information is permanently saved. Same as doing a transfer here. Simple. I know some other banks do this but not all of them do. I haven't noticed any transfer fee in my transactions.

Thanks for the replies!

From what I've heard, KEB sounds like the best bet. I could always transfew cash from the KEB acct. to my BS Bank acct for ease.

So...does anyone know where the int'l branch in Busan's located? I've looked at the site, but I can't fig. out which one's the international one...

Thanks!
