Hello.

I have a hard modded Korean, Nintendo wii, that I don't really use.

anyone wanna make an offer?

It has
two controllers,
the wii fit board.
1 nun chuck thing,
and 1 old school controller thing.

anyone interested?

I have a few months to sell it, or I can take it home, so please don't low ball me with stupid offers.

thanks

I got it last year, about this time.

I didnt get a hard drive loaded with games.. cuz my game dude guy said it was "impossible"... I have "back ups" of various games... good games. Not like the 300 garbage games they give you on the hard drive. I've ran games off a USB hard drive and off CD roms, both fine.

I've got mario kart, new super mario, punch out, metroid, mario galaxy, et cetera.

i sold your setup, plus a 120gb hard drive with games, a gamecube controller, an extra nunchuk, but no balance board for 310,000.

i'd expect you might get around 250,000 or maybe a bit less without the hard drive (which has other uses once one tires of the wii). i definitely took a loss on my sale...wiis don't retain their value much unfortunately.

Yeah, personally I'm saving my money for a ps3, but i'd get a wii if it was cheap enough, just to kill time. I know its not much, but i'd pay 150,000 for it. I don't expect you to take it, but the offers out there, like i said, I'm not really looking for one but if you really want to get rid of it...

A modded wii on Craigslist went for 270k the other day with 20 games and a butt load of accessories...

Lotte Mart sell Wii's new for 180k now and a soft mod can be done for free by anyone if they're looking to play games from their hard drive.

Because it has the Wii Fit board, I'd only go to 150k max without games but thats just me...other may, and probably will, disagree.

My offer would obviously increase depending on the number of games available

haha,in the OP's defense (sorry that it seems like i started a lowball war...i didnt mean to), a lot of lay people will not be able to mod their own wii - they'd have to pay someone to do it.

150k is a quite a lowball offer. he probably spent over 300k (at current new wii prices) on it if you consider how much those peripherals cost - plus a couple thousand won for each burned disc he has.

Maybe, but just barely. He doesn't really have that many extra peripherals. 1 controller, 1 classic controller, and 1 balance board. About 85000 for the lot of them, so around 260 + the mod and if anyone is getting picky about paying for old burned discs, well they're pushing in terms of value.

I'd just as soon go buy a 300 GB HD and fill it with stuff.

Last I heard, a few months ago, you can get a fully modded Wii, with a HD full of games, in yongsan, new for around 300k. 150 is a bit of a lowball on that, but you have to consider that he isn't providing a HD, he is providing a couple extra peripherals though. Are those of equal value to some people? maybe so. So if we take those to be equal value and the fact that it's a year old already, and that the market is now well saturated with Wiis, and the appeal is declining, I'd say 200k might be a spot to start having a discussion.

I've only based my valuation based on current RRP and what comes with it and also what I was bidding on on Craigslist, as I mentioned earlier I missed out on a modded Wii with a shedload of extras that went for 100k extra (missed out not cos of a lowball bid, just a slightly late offer)

I haven't meant my offer to offend anyone who considers it to be a lowball offer, it was never intended to be.

I just picked up a brand new modded Wii with a 250GB external for around 350k. Box was only opened to mod the console. and it came with a bunch of good games. However, I got it in Songtan so the prices there are slightly higher than Yongsan.

I've got 2 controllers, 1 of the nunchuck things and the classic controller.

I don't really see how back up copies of games should factor into a price... they are free, so long as you download them.

150 does seem a bit low, I am not in a hurry to sell. Its just sitting in my apartment and I thought I'd just check to see if anyone was interested in it.

I got the hard mod, cuz when I got the Korean wii, a soft mod wanst worth the hassle (possible bricking)

when I looked at one of those hard drive full of games it had 1/3 japanese, 1/3 korean and then 1/3 English. Of the English games there was a bunch of crap.

but to each his own.

just message me if your interested.

and yeah, like I said 150 is a bit to low, since I am not in a hurry I'll just wait.

thanks

It's more the hard drive itself rather than the games. I'd rather not mess with burning discs. Just plug it into the PC, copy it over and then plug it into the Wii and be done.

I'm not sure what a 300 GB external HD is going for these days, but I believe the Wii doesn't work with just any brand (or did they fix that?) so that's why I compared the HD to the inclusion of the the couple of extra peripherals.

I am pretty sure you can use an hard drive so long as its formated to the format it needs.

external hard drives are easy to find and get and are a variety of prices. I don't really see any point including one, since it doesn't come with the wii and has use outside of the wii. ie; I am going to put movies and stuff on mine.

most HDs will work for the wii. there is a list posted somewhere of which ones are incompatible. to be hoenst, 300 GB is too big of a hard drive for the wii. there simply aren't that many good games. I'd go 125 gb max. That would net you almost every game with a metacritic score of 85 or above, and you could always delete games and add on new ones later.

very true. I find myself hovering around 10 games or so. If you get 100 games you wind up playing 3
