|
|
Hi,
I've seen alot of different topics about different hair salons to get hair cut but none about dying hair.
I live in Gangnam but the location doesnt really matter to me.
I can't speak very good Korean but I only want to dye my hair to a light brown from black which shouldnt be to hard to explain.
But if anyone knows a good place that speaks a little english it would be appreciated.
If you could tell me the cost it would be awesome, if not, doesnt matter, I can always find out by going there.
I've seen alot of Juno Hair salons (I'm assuming its a chain), is it any good?
Anywayyy, If you could help it would be greatly appreciated
Thank you. |

Go to Hair and Joy in Hongdae. I was recommended to go there, and have sent many other people there. They do a fantastic job (and they all speak English!) Everyone who works there has trained in England I think. I know that Lucy and Johnny did. Ask for either of them and you'll be set. I get mine dyed there often. |

I used to do it at the local Blue Club franchise.
They'd charge me 25,000-30,000.
Then I found that if I went to this poorer, smaller town, I could get the same thing for 18,000.
So it just depends on what you want. If you want top-of-the-line service, I might suggest the shopping street outside Ewha University. I saw some pretty nice hair salons there and one of my friends got a wash, cut and styling there for about 40,000. |

Hair and Joy is expensive, i paid 120,000 I think for a full head of highlights and lowlights. In my experience though it was totally worth it. Great atmosphere, english magazines, fresh orange juice, some unbelievable hair conditioning/steam treatment, the best scalp massage I'd ever been given, and it was nice to converse in English with Lucy. The cut was great, and there was zero orange. It was easy to get an appointment and they were very efficient. I've heard some so-so comments about Johnny but I had Lucy and she was excellent.

We were just there last weekend. Girlfriend's hair looks fantastic. They gave us cookies and coffee and were very pleasant. Great place. |

120,000 for highlights is much cheaper than Toni N Guy (about 200,000).
I think this place is excellent, too. |
