Was it an hourly CDI or a salaried CDI?

The school wasn't hourly or salaried as we had teachers on both, but my contract was salaried.

ST8ofTheARt -

Thanks for being so candid. 2.5 is pretty abnormal for a hagwon for a first year teacher without experience or teaching degree. I think that's why everyone was grilling you about how you got so lucky! Some (?most?) branches of CDI are really shady and work you really hard. That's why everyone wants to know all about your situation.

I can't PM yet, but I was just curious
Whereabouts are you working, did you use a recruiter.
I still have a semester left of school but I'm trying to comprise a list of diversity friendly schools/recruiters.

All those questions were answered later on in the thread.

The recruiting site is aclipse.net and they recruit exclusively for Chung Dahm Learning. I think they're about as diversity friendly as you can get.

And I honestly don't know what trouble you speak of so that's why you should put a specific location along with your claim. At the ANSAN CDI, I had minimal problems. Now I can't speak for any other location and I'm sure there are horrible ones also.
