I have a friend in the USA who is from Ghana. He wants to come to Seoul for a visit. He hasn't told me how soon he will visit. While he is there he wants to connect with other people from Ghana.

Does anyone have any connections to anyone who is from Ghana?

You can PM me with their name, phone and email so I can get it to him. He's looking to buy a truck in Seoul and sell the parts in Ghana.

No connections. But I've met Embassy workers from Ghana in Itaewon before.

I'm sure if you bring him to Itaewon, or ask around beforehand, you'd quickly meet someone who knows someone who's from Ghana.

Never met somebody from Ghana in Korea, but you can direct them to a local shop to buy a Ghana bar or Ghana choco pie. They're the same colour as most people in Ghana, so your friend won't feel too out of place.

It's also interesting to see that it isn't just fresh out of college westerners who go half-way round the world and then want to hang out with people from where they're from.

What a douche. I hope this guy's not teaching here in this country.

I dated a Ghanese girl from Busan for a while when I was working down there. Her stepfather was a Korean fisherman. She wasn't naturalized as she had an F-1.

I imagine Busan or Geoje would have a tight-knit community of Africans living 'la vie quitodienne.'

Rolling Eyes Lighten up, I was being facetious.

Top marks for using "douche" as an insult though, really. Seriously, I'm stung.

The Nigerians pretty much have this market covered, they also sell their secrets on where to find parts/sets etc for thousands of dollars. Also many Nigerians are looking to do this same business in other countries because the Korean market is saturated at the moment.

He should also look into the Ghanaian laws because certain parts/materials are illegal to sell in Nigeria as they are trying to boost the domestic enconomy/products at highly inflated prices. It might be the same in Ghana.

Also, there are a couple of Ghanaians who do hair in Itaewon. Don't know them personally though.[/quote]
