Does anyone fish in these areas or the surroundings. Struggling to find information on the web. Any type of rod and reel action. I'm not planning on buying a boat and trolling a net thanks =] This could be the deciding factor as to which city I teach in. |

I have no idea about fishing, I will say this though, I would choose Changwon over Incheon any day; I know, I've lived in both.
If, however, you are that keen on fishing, then I recommend you go to China instead, saw people fishing there all the time in the rivers (this was in Suzhou). |

I was just going to ask this question. I know there are some rivers in the Korean mountains but that's about all I know. I'm not sure if I'll be bringing my fly fishing gear or not. Any fisher(wo)men out there who can give some details. Who carries fishing gear in Korea? |

I'm not claiming any credit for this information, thank Mr. A.Dent for the fishing links & info.
fly fishing store in Seoul- called Riverfly. The owner is a guide and will have lots of information about where and when to fish for trout in Korea.
Here is his site. If you have the Google translate toolbar, you can navigate the site.

Generally, Gangwando is the place to go for trout fishing. Different species on each side of the mountains.
