|
|
Does anyone know where I can adopt a young kitten that is healthy in Korea?
I honestly have no clue where to look other than the random pet stores I've seen, but they don't even have kittens for sale in Icheon. Plus it would be nice if I could adopt a kitten that doesn't already have a home. |

there is a pet section in dongdaemun market, near the old elevated road which has been taken down... east of dongdaemun station (and slightly south).... i can show yu sometime if yu like.
i cannot vouch for the health of the animals there!
yu may consider contacting these people
http://koreananimals.org/index.htm
they have a shelter - i'm sure they could guve yu a kitten. |

There's a quite swish looking cat shop in Haebanchon just up the hill on the left from the Yonsan US base. I'm sure they would do healthy kittens or at least point you in the right direction. NEarest subway is Noksapyoung. |

Go behind the Millenium building. There are some (Ѱ) stray cats living in boxes and eating trash. You can easily kidnap them. They are too week to fight back. |

Just go to Moran market ( ) and "rescue" one for KRW 5,000-10,000.
The food stalls have the absolutely best/freshest dog soups in Seoul, so it's really worth the trip. |

Holy hell, I went to Chungmuro today just to check out the pet shops and see if there was a good deal.
No
The cheapest one lady was offering was a kitten for W500,000. That's ridiculous, especially given that there is absolutely no certification for the health of the animal.
Given that I'm not as adept at Korea as some of you, it looks like Ryan isn't gonna be able to get a kitten. |

there are usually animal shelters at the universities. Just ask around
Other wise here is a thread with a link to the animal shelter in Daegu
It is a bit of a trip there but well worth it. They have over 250 cats! I picked up a cat from there about two weeks ago. He is the most cuddly cat I have ever had. Also they are neutured and have all their shots. Oh yeah they are free!
