|
|
My contract is ending soon and I will need to book an airline reservation back to the home country and get a billing to show my employer for reimbursement.
However, I would like to lay out little or no money to get this billing to show my employer. Indeed, I may not go at all except for a quick dash to Japan and back on a tourist visa, but I need something to show my employer in order to get them to pay me for the ticket.
As you can tell by my confused post on this I've had little experience with getting the airline reimbursement when I don't really want to go and don't want to lay out a lot of money for an airline ticket even if I can cash it back in later.
So, any advice about this issue (of which I know very little) would be greatly appreciated. |

My first year here I worked at a Hagwon, when my contract was up I didn't want to go back to the US and instead wanted cash for my airline ticket. So I found price quotes on all the major airlines for the first week in August which put my ticket well over 1500$, I showed my boss and said, if he wanted to save some money he could just give me 1.2 million won instead of buying a ticket. He opted to give me the cash. |
