|
|
I know that E2 visa holders require a medical check within 90 days of arrival before they can apply for their ARC, but what about E1 visa holders?
Do E1 visa holders need to give blood and urine before they apply for the ARC or are they exempt?
Can E1 visa holders simply go to immigration after arrival in the country and apply for the ARC? |

They don't need the medical but they do need some documents from their employer before they can register (so it is not just a matter of going to kimmi to register but is not far off).

Thanks for the help. By any chance do you know exactly what those documents might be? The staff in my department speak less English than my students. |

Business registration (copy), confirmation of employment, residential address of the employee (you).
You will also need your passport, 2 photos, application for (available at immigration) and 10k won.
They will take it all and give you a receipt for your passport. You can choose to have it returned by courier or pick it up in person.
Depending on what day you apply it takes anywhere from 5-10 days to get it back (1 week is common except at the busiest of times (April/May and Sept/Oct).
I don't think I forgot anything.
