Madoka, you need to own up to your posting history. You claim to have only posted about your alleged wealth a few times in the past year? Nonsense. In seemingly every thread you talk about your material possessions.
Im not even saying that its wrong or you should stop. But don't deny it now. I'm just baffled why someone of your means would daily come onto a website primarily for teachers and constantly talk about his money. You do realize teachers arent exactly highly paid the world over, don't you? Arent their forums for investment bankers that would better suit you?

Go ahead. Knock yourself out; prove me wrong. Check my posting history and you'll see how very false your assumptions are.

It doesn't. You were responding to someone else who was talking about the same general topic.

Oh please. A guy claimed he can live like a "king" for 800mill. I responded that I spent way more than that, and never felt like royalty. That is on topic and giving context/background on my experiences. But certain posters on here respond as if I called them out on the small size of their weiners. Rolling Eyes Maybe next time I'll just give a nebulous "I disagree" to spare all the fragile egos around here.

Ok. Just off the top of my head without having to go back and check.
I know that you, Madoka, own eight lap top computers. You have a few high end luxury cars. You recently spent 35,000 Us dollars in a single month including $2000 on face cream. You have an apartment in Seoul that sits empty and you are worried that someone might be crashing there. Here is your typical posting style:
OP: I hear Jamba juice is coming to Seoul.
post #2: wow. I like Jamba juice.
Madoka: I was considering opening my own Jamba juice franchise.

You forgot the one when he went on about paying his PA more than the average Hagwan teacher.

The only one with a fragile ego in this scenario is you, my friend. You really just can't get it. We don't care how much money you make/have/spend. The only one who cares about this stuff is YOU.

People who go on and on about their income are generally insecure about themselves....just like those who go on and on about how popular they are with the ladies.

You have given me a great idea, however....I am going to find a forum for midgets and consistently make reference to how tall I am in there.

Oh and I spend 1million a month in Korea and I DO feel like royalty. If you know how to work the food stands, bars, Gmarket and keep your partying to a moderate level (not to menion have hobbies outside of roaming Itaewon and eating Pizza Hut every day) then 1.2million is very cushy, even for Seoul.

Most of the complaints about food are funny. If you get your veggies, meats and fruits from a big store like Homeplus then you'll pay out the butt for it. Try hitting up the open air markets is where the cheaper and fresher foods are, and the aforementioned Gmarket has bags of chicken breasts for ~12k won with shipping. Healthy, delicious eats in Korea are not expensive if you know how to do it. Even samgyupsal and galbi places are pretty cheap if you know which ones to go to, or go to the all-you-can-eat ones.

I typed all this on an iPhone. Man, that was hard.

Your salary level, lifestyle, and clearly your Paris Hilton Kim social circle do not jive with literally every single person who posts on this web-site except for you. So again, what is the possible purpose of mentioning over and over and over again how much money you earn and how much money you spend?

Then let me disabuse you of another notion - that somehow I bring it up all the time. Reality is that in the past year, it came up 3 times. Twice when I confessed I have a hoarding disorder and once when oldtactics politely asked me in a thread. Now if you still consider admitting to a mental problem twice "bragging" over and over again, then so be it.

Actually, to be fair, when I posted about dumping my ex, you said that you make more than he does, and he makes a grand a day (USD). On a happier note, I've started dating my best friend. It's pretty amazing. You could say that he makes me feel like royalty Wink

You also said that you spent 17,000 on face cream. I'm curious as to which one it is, and how it worked out. My sister is very much into face creams (she had some reconstructive surgery, so is always looking to reduce some small scars she's got) and money isn't an issue. Please PM me the name, if it isn't an inconvenience.

Anyway, carry on.

A grand a day?! What does he do?

PM sent.

To the OP:
It's very doable. I buy something nice every month (jewelry, a kitchen gadget, skincare, ...) and still manage to spend under 1.5. It's easy to save more than that, though, if you don't buy loads of imported foods (cheeses, nuts, grains) in Itaewon and over the internet Embarassed

If housing and food are taken care of then you'll be fine. I personally can't get by on 1.2 a month anymore, but I have to pay for housing, myself, and my hsuaband.

If you're single or your partner works and you have housing paid for, it shoudl be pretty easy

Hahaha. All you've quoted from are exactly the three times I've already mentioned. So all you've done is proven my point. The spending was from the hoarding threads and the apartment was when oldtactics asked. Nice try though.

And here's the Jamba Juice quote in it's entirety:

" I remember looking into opening a Jamba Juice several years ago. They require that you open three stores at a time because they didn't want to deal with small time investors. If this is still necessary for international franchisees then we could see a couple more pop up in the coming months."

If you think merely looking into opening a store is bragging. . . pretty sad.
