Most teaching jobs in Korea start in late February or early March, and practically all contracts for teachers with E2 visa are one year.
Many or most Gyeonnggi public schools hiring a native teacher are in desirable enough locations that they can be selective, usually seeking teachers already in Korea.

Given the first assumption, most teachers already in Korea will finish their contracts in late February/ early March.
Will this have an effect on schools that hire for April, if they want a teacher already in Korea?
It seems like those schools would tend to have a weaker preference for teachers already in Korea, but it's a complicated question, so I've really no idea. |
